AI meeting notes are automatically generated written records of what was said during a meeting, lecture, or consultation. Instead of a human typing while trying to follow the conversation, a speech recognition model listens to the audio and a language model structures the output into sections: summary, key points, action items, and risks.
The result is a consistent, searchable document every time — regardless of who runs the meeting or how fast the conversation moves.
How it works
- Start recording. Open Apuntia in your browser and press record. No app installation or plugin needed. Works on desktop and mobile.
- Audio is chunked and uploaded. As you speak, the audio is split into short segments and sent securely to the transcription pipeline. This allows processing to start before the meeting ends.
- Whisper transcribes each segment. OpenAI's Whisper model converts each audio chunk to text with high accuracy, handling different accents, technical vocabulary, and background noise.
- GPT structures the output. The full transcript is analyzed by GPT-4o-mini, which identifies the type of meeting (legal consultation, university class, advisory session) and produces a structured report: executive summary, key points, next actions, and flagged risks.
- Download in Word. The final report is available as a .docx file, ready to share, archive, or edit.
Use cases
- Law firms: document client consultations automatically, capture commitments, flag legal risks. See legal meeting notes with AI.
- University students: record lectures and receive structured study notes with definitions, examples, and key points. See AI class notes.
- Tax and advisory firms: summarize client meetings with action items and documentation requests for clean follow-ups.
- Professors: prepare class plans from voice sessions, with AI-generated objectives, structure, and verified bibliographic resources.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the transcription?
Apuntia uses OpenAI's Whisper, which achieves near-human accuracy on clear recordings. Technical and legal vocabulary is generally handled well. Heavy background noise or overlapping speakers may reduce accuracy — a quiet recording environment is recommended.
What languages does it support?
The core product is optimized for Spanish. Whisper supports over 50 languages and will transcribe in the language spoken, but report structure and summaries are currently generated in Spanish.
How long does it take to get the notes?
Typically 2–5 minutes after the recording ends. A 1-hour session is usually processed in under 3 minutes because audio chunks are transcribed in parallel as you record.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Recording works directly in a mobile browser — Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS. No app download required.
Is my data private?
All transcripts and reports are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored. Data is automatically deleted 7 days after creation. Audio files are not retained after transcription is complete.
